About

fedb5-dscn0892  I remind myself often, “I’m a lucky girl!”  I am at a fascinating time in life where I’ve slowed down, cut down and committed to a life-long dream.  Writing, photography, riding, kayaking, creating, reading are no longer hobbies.  I will now live my life to the best of my abilities and cause no harm along the way.  It’s not conventional wisdom, an oxymoron itself, but wisdom none the less.

My hope is that you will find solace, humor, or just a kindred spirit through my writing.

You are so funny! To make a smiley face type a colon then closed parentheses. Pretty much my technological skill here! Lol

I agree with you that it is a grand gift to be able to slow down and enjoy life beyond 50. While I still have to race the rats each day, the rest of my time is spent in the stillness of my garden, hiking through the Sierras, or riding my horse along the Pacific. If you had told me 10 years ago that my life could look like this, I wouldn’t have believed you. Blessings to you in your slow zone!

    1. Riding along the Pacific must be wonderful. I rode the beach in Humboldt County with my daughter. Wasn’t “my” horse but it was epic none the less. Bless you!

I can appreciate your commitment to things you once thought of as hobbies. Writing is no longer something I am willing to consider secondary in my life’s pursuits. It will become, as it always should have been, my primary focus.

Good luck with all you do.
