As my dear friend Steph Sheridan used to say, I’m up to my a$$ in alligators. The road to self-publishing is full of learning and stretching my limits.
Think of this as a personal ad.
Single, 50-something writer looking to meet and collaborate with an editor. My manuscript is ready for publishing but could use some clear-headed editing. The story is told in a unique form of letters and journal entries. That being said, I’m not looking for full content edits but rather glaring mistakes in grammar, spelling and punctuation. I don’t want to change the voice or tone, just make sure the reader doesn’t stumble over things that break the flow.
If you are only interested in editing a chapter, that’s fine. Any help from outside eyes is greatly appreciated.
Payment for services will be free copies of the finished book, undying gratitude of your devoted help in the acknowledgements, and dinners/lunches/breakfasts if you live close enough.
