April 15

In 1865 on April 15th, Abraham Lincoln died from the gunshot wound he received the night before.

On this day in 1912 the Titanic sank.

And now, this day will go down in history for the bombing at the Boston Marathon.

I finally turned off the television and opened the window before crawling into bed.  For the first time this year, I heard the wood frogs croaking in the pond, proclaiming spring.  As humans continue to destroy each other and the world, nature renews it.
